What a week for grandkids.

New pictures all the way around.
Just got a disk of rodeo pictures of the Wright kids. This is Austin's friend and fellow bull rider, Charlie. They went to HS Rodeo, Finals, PRB rodeos, and Jr Rodeos together. They have been friends for at least 8 years. In fact, Charlie and his family lived in the same house the Wrights lived in when Stephanie was born. Small world, huh?
Stephanie
Melissa
Cody
Got text message from Vonda, stating that Cody is so literal, like his grandpa. She told him to put on his shoes and socks, and he came out with his shoes on, with the socks over to toes.
Hayden came for the day on Thurs. and Friday. When I aimed the camera, they were all 3 asleep. After I snapped the shot, Hayden said, "Cheese" and was smiling at me, with his eyes wide open. He is now 18 months old and is 34 inches tall and weighs 28 pounds. Growing like a weed!! He has a really extensive vocabulary and is starting to put words together in 2-3 words at a time. He is such a sweetie.
Ryan and Jackson think that every time I put on a dress, I am going to Primary, and they want to go. This past week we had 3 funerals of friends and neighbors, so they did not go. Our next door neighbor (almost 99 years old) passed away, then a former ward member and good friend died from diabetic complications. The other was the mother of a friend, who had cancer.
This weekend was Dora and Paul's 15th wedding anniversary, so I went to stay with the kids on Friday night, so they could run away for the weekend. Friday evening we had witches and wizards. Here is Kelsey as a wizard,
and Kylie as a witch. Not very scary, huh?
Saturday morning Kambree had a soccer game, and she does a good job. Much like her mother. Only the girls have a team. Dora played with the boys when she was little.
Then we had wrestling matches. Here Maclay has Kelsey "pinned".
And he gets the trophy!
Then I spent the evening with Evan and Jaime. All in all a pretty good week!!

Happy Labor Day Fun

Yesterday we decided to take the boys to Evan and Jaime's for the afternoon. We had a BBQ and saw all the new colts. Last fall their stallion got out and had his way with the women. This little guy was born Thursday of last week. His mother actually is one of the border mares, and belongs to a friend of theirs. Their teenage daughter rides her, and is thrilled with the colt. He has really long legs and looks like his mother. He is a little shy of humans.
This little guy was born on Wednesday last week, and he is more friendly. His mother belongs to the family. He was willing to let the boys pet him, then he followed us around, wanting more.
Jackson was more nervous about petting him, but then decided it was okay.

This is the other mare, who has not fouled yet. They are hoping for a filly. She also belongs to the family.
This colt is Curry. He was born the first of July, and Jaime named him after her old jumping horse who died during the winter.
Here he is at 2 months old. I took this one from inside the truck, as we were leaving to get home to tend Hayden while Jennie and Jeff went out.
Jeff and Hayden were sick all weekend, and they did not stay out long. Jeff was just not up to it, and Hayden was running a fever and just wanted me to hold him and the boys to leave him alone. Jeff and Jennie both called in to work sick, but are all doing better this evening.
