Another week and more adventures. Grandpa finally feels good enough to meet Hayden. He is such a sweet baby and is growing every day.
The other day, when I got home from work, by kitchen range had been dissassembled by the boys. The parts were in the coffee table and the oven.
But they can be so cute and sweet. They were so good in church yesterday. Both slept most of the whole Sacrament Meeting. They did well in nursery, and "colored" pictures. Ryan is finally saying lots of words, and Jackson is starting to say a few.
We are all getting ready to go to Disneyland. That will be the first time our whole family will have been together for a very long time. All of the families are going, and we are so excited.
This morning we woke up to 6 inches of new snow. CRAZY. It was all powder, and the ski resorts have 12 - 24 inches of new snow over the weekend. The skiers and snowboarders are excited about that. The rest of us want spring to come.
Until next time, we love you all.

Hayden is 2 weeks old

No new pictures today. Hayden is 2 weeks old and had his Dr. appt. today. He has gained 1 pound and 1 ounce since being home. He is nearly 7 lbs, but still so tiny. Jennie said he is in the 8th percentile for length and the 11th percentile for weight, but it is not even his due date yet, so we know he will soon catch up.

Life keeps going.

Hayden is already 10 days old. He changes every day. Jeff took this picture yesterday, and you can see the yellow is gone.
Paul and Marian's boys have not even seen him yet, as they have all had colds. I ran some papers over to Jennie last night and left the boys in the car. Ryan cried all the way home because he did not get to see the dog. He asked Jeff where the dog was, and Jeff told him that he was in the house. He kept crying and saying "dog".
I have a student nurse this semester. She is in a management class and has 70 hours of time to put in with a manager or educator. She is a cute girl and has taken the project to help me update my orientation packet for the nurses. It will be good to have everything up-to-date before I retire, which I hope to do the end of the year.
My primary class has sharing time on Sunday, and the topic is how our extended family is also part of our eternal family. I am excited to share pictures of my grandkids for them all to see.
Paul is really busy right now with the scouts. Everyone is trying to get merit badges done and advancements. Last night they had the Court of Honor, and next week they are planning the Eagle Court. We have 2 young men who have completed the requirements for their Eagle and the next week they will have the Eagle Court. They are awesome young men, and the presentation is so neat to see. I plan to go to that, too.

Update on the weekend with Hayden

No pictures today, but good news. Saturday morning when Jennie took Hayden in for his bilirubin check, it was up again, so they got a portable bililight like Jackson had, and he has been under it all weekend long. Yesterday he had dropped significantly, but was still higher than in the hospital, so still under the lights. This morning she brought him back for weight and recheck of his billirubin. He has gained 1.5 ounces over his birth weight, and his bilirubin is back down. He looks really good, and is nursing really well, so things are on the much better side. He can come out of the lights, and we are SO GLAD. They have only been able to hold him while he was feeding.

Home

I hit publish, not save, but that is okay. Gives me a chance to put in more pictures.
Anyway, Hayden and Jennie are home and glad to be there!

Hayden is doing better today

Hayden had to spend time under the bililights, but he is doing so much better. His blood sugar is up, and he got to go home today

Update on Hayden

Hayden's blood sugar went down last night so they put him in the Newborn Intensive Care, on an IV. He is still there and will be most of the day. They are weaning down his glucose and he is doing well.
These pictures are from this morning, and you can see him better. He is so tiny and his cry is so sweet.

Introducing Hayden Jeffrey Cox

Jennie's water broke around 1 am, this morning. They got to the hospital around 5 am and she was started on Pitocin. She was barely dilated to 1 cm, but progressed nicely at about 1 cm an hour and Hayden was born at 4:32 this afternoon. He is a tiny little guy, weighing in at 5 lb 13 oz, and 17 1/2 inches long. He has the tiniest face and big eyes. They are a deep blue, and has blonde hair. More photos to follow in the next few days.

Cody Took 1st place

Austin lost both matches at the state wrestling tournament, so did not place, but he did reach his goal of going to state.
Cody has been wrestling in a community league. Robert and Austin have helped with that, and he took 1st place.
Jennie and Jeff are getting excited about the new baby coming. They are 3 weeks out from the due date. Yesterday the doctor told her the baby would be between 7 & 8 pounds now.
Dora has been Mom and Dad for 10 days, as Paul was out of town. They set up a web cam, so they were able to talk to him every night. It helped.
Jaime and her mom held a clinic for their riding students. The instructor was from Kentucky, and they were really excited to get him here.
Marian's boys have both been sick. Jackson had an infection in his leg and Ryan has had a really bad cold and cough. Jackson is about better, but Ryan is still struggling. He spends a lot of time being held.
As for us, Paul has been busy spring cleaning the garage, and work for me has been non-stop. We are having our hosptiatl accrediation survey this week, so STRESS. We are doing well, though. Have a big presentation today, so better get to that.
Love to All
